The Centre is created with the collective ingenuity of UILS (University Institute of Legal Studies) and Straus Institute for
Dispute Resolution (University of Pepperdine) to promote interdisciplinary research in the field of trade law and dispute resolution.
The purpose of the CTDR (Centre for Trade Laws and Dispute Resolution) covers the following aspects:
- To ensure thorough interdisciplinary research comprising diverse fields like business laws, trade laws, economic laws,
commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration to bring out some unconventional and operative techniques that
can bring some substantive changes in the field of dispute resolution.
- To draw out structural changes in India in the field of trade (national and international) with regards to dispute resolution.
- To conduct seminars and conferences in order to assimilate the distinguished veterans from all over the world to
embrace us with vast insights on this topic and how can it can be implemented in Indian scenario.
